Say It Great

Irreverence is a hard thing to pull off in a headline. It’s hard to think of and even harder to make obvious jokes around. But, when it comes to promoting microwaveable meals, it’s a vehicle worth the drive.

These ads know what they’re selling, which isn’t a fresh cooked plate of eggs and sausages, not even if that plate were coming straight out of a Denny’s kitchen (with all due respect to the line cooks in those establishments; your hard work has kept me well-nourished after a rough night several times throughout the years, but we’re getting off track). So, what better way to gloss over a likely unsatisfactory meal with some over-the-top hamminess?

Hey, if you wanted to do an honest day’s work, there are several other fields to apply to. And, now I’m getting dark, when these are so bright.

Who’s reading this, anyway?

Hi, I’m Chase. I’ll be taking a few moments here and there to post about advertising writing that says things great, and not just straight.
