BMW | The Ultimate Driving Machine

Say It Great

I don’t know if this is a thing, but I feel like BMWs have an odd look to feel ratio. Until recent years, they tended to look a bit boring. Boxy. Also rans. I grew up thinking, ‘What’s so great about a Beamer, anyway?’

Then I got behind the wheel of one.

My family got a used 740 when I was in high school and that thing cut through traffic like a speed boat. Until that point, it was the best best car I’d ever driven. I drove to my high school prom and generally had more fun behind the wheel than I did with my date. Yes, I realize what a sad confession that is.

Years later, I rented a BMW wagon on an Italian trip and found it to be pretty easy to over take other drivers on the country’s roadways—when I was feeling brave enough to do so.

So, for as high falluting a tagline as “The Ultimate Driving Machine” may be…it kinda works. And, if I had one myself, you can sure as hell bet I wouldn’t misplace those keys.

(Come on that was a sweet ending. Even sweeter if you could actually read the headline which says, “Instantly cures that habit of misplacing your car keys.”

Hi, I’m Chase. I’ll be taking a few moments here and there to post about advertising writing that says things great, and not just straight.
