Akva spring water | The pure soul of Iceland.
The fact that water is bottled and sold (for profit) is probably the most clear sign that marketing does indeed work, at least that I can think of.
“Hey, here’s a basic thing you need to live, that you can also get right out of your home…but, we want you’re money for it.” Sound crazy? It is.
But, just how do yo ugo about selling such a ubiquitous thing? Lean into Death Metal, obviously (but, that’s a story for another time). Or, your company being from Iceland also helps. But, so do tales about viking quests and the general beauty of the landscapes where the water comes from. Those are the areas Akva was hitting with these old ads.
I’m not sure when they ran, but they do come from a different bottle design era. Either way, that is a lot of words about water. Albeit, a lot of words that are fun to read.
